Webinar: Transforming Research Evaluation into Reality: Concrete Advances in Open Science in Latin America and Europe
LA Referencia and LIBER are organizing a joint webinar on May 13, 2024 (16:00 CEST: 8 a.m. Costa Rica/Mexico. 9 a.m. Panama/Colombia/Ecuador/Peru. 11 a.m. Argentina/Brazil/Uruguay) with the aim of providing a panel of concrete case studies, inspiring examples and useful contacts to build a framework that encourages Open Science practices when evaluating research.
About the event
The webinar is intended for participants interested in discovering cases and implementing a research evaluation model in their institution or research unit. The event will show examples from Latin America and Europe that take Open Science practices into account.
The main objective is to offer an overview of the concrete advances in Open Science, in the reform of research evaluation in Latin America and Europe, through contributions from representatives of regional and global initiatives actively involved in this effort.
Our goal is to provide first-hand insights from leaders driving change in this area. From implementing Open Science principles to developing multidimensional evaluation metrics, we will explore a variety of approaches that are shaping how research is evaluated.
