Its mission is to coordinate national policies and actions in open science, with an emphasis on open access to research outputs, to build a fair, multilingual, and sustainable public ecosystem of scientific information based on infrastructures and services as regional public goods.

Vision

To be the leading reference in the member countries for building an inclusive, collaborative, and sustainable Open Science ecosystem. We aspire to an interconnected scientific community where knowledge flows without barriers and benefits society, supporting policies and infrastructures that ensure accessibility, equity, and global impact of the academic and scientific output of its members.
