LA Reference presents special search on regional investigations about COVID-19
Recently the Confederation of Open Access Repositories (COAR) presented its recommendations for resources on COVID-19 in repositories. COAR emphasized the need for repositories and regional networks to work collaboratively, thus seeking to make research on the subject more accessible and visible, with the objective that governments, public and private institutions can make use of them in order to build new knowledge that adds to the fight against COVID-19.**
Following these guidelines, LA Reference now shares on its main page a parameterized search that concentrates COVID-19 research in Latin American repositories.
This is a dynamic collection that grows every week. It currently consists of around 500 academic documents that account for the production deposited in network repositories in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay.
In this way, LA Reference joins the global efforts of Open Science to build and democratize knowledge related to this disease, hoping to collaborate with the institutions and people who, in their daily lives, work to overcome the health, social and economic crisis that COVID-19 has generated.
