Acceso Libre a Información Científica para la Innovación

Partner country of the LA Referencia Project, it has developed national initiatives in the field of Repositories and Open Access, among which stand out: the use of repositories registered in OpenDOAR, repositories in the public sector, and data repositories. It is a signatory of the main agreements of LA Referencia.

Peru was the first country in Latin America to approve national legislation related to Open Access and Institutional Repositories. See the Law regulating the National Digital Repository of Science, Technology, and Innovation for Open Access, approved in March 2013.

The National Digital Repository of Science, Technology, and Innovation for Open Access , known as ALICIA (Open Access to Scientific Information for Innovation), is managed by the National Council for Science, Technology, and Technological Innovation (CONCYTEC) . Its purpose is to establish an interoperable national network of digital repositories , based on the implementation of common policies, standards, and protocols for all members of the network.
