Costa Rica Node

Repositorio Nacional Kímuk

The Kímuk National Repository is an open-access tool promoted by the National Council of Rectors (CONARE), aimed at providing online access to the country’s academic and scientific output. It serves as a crucial resource for Costa Rica’s scientific and technological development, and therefore its visibility and accessibility should be a priority. The term Kímuk means “cooperation” in Bribri, one of Costa Rica’s indigenous languages. The name encapsulates a way of understanding life and, like other concepts from this culture, reflects the importance of teamwork and collaboration to achieve common goals. Other institutional repositories that meet the established standards can also contribute to its collection, and we therefore invite other organizations to join this mission.
